Day 3: Diagnosis & Dropped Vitals
Owen officially diagnosed with B-Cell ALL; faces tough treatment journey but with hope.

The path we've embarked upon with Owen has unfolded its first major marker. Today, we were handed Owen's official diagnosis - B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. While the gravity of this news weighs heavily on our hearts, there's a glimmer of hope amidst the storm. This particular leukemia is not only the most common but also responds best to treatment, offering a sliver of solace in our sea of worries.

Our consultation with the oncologist laid bare the reality of our journey ahead. It's likened to scaling Mount Everest - a daunting challenge that requires immense preparation, guidance, and resilience. We've just begun, having barely set our base camp with our expert guide by our side. The route is known, many have tread it before us, and yet, each journey is distinct, filled with its own trials and triumphs.
Owen's treatment path mirrors the unpredictable nature of Everest's ascent. While many have succeeded, the personal battle each child faces with this disease and its treatments, especially chemotherapy's side effects, remains a deeply individual experience.

Adding to the day's emotional rollercoaster, Owen's vitals faltered by nightfall, sending us into a whirlwind of fear and urgency. Thankfully, the medical team swiftly restored his blood pressure and oxygen levels to stability. It was a stark reminder of the fragility of our situation.

As we brace for the days ahead, our hope clings to the expertise of Owen's medical team, the strength of his spirit, and the possibility of smooth passage through this tempest. Our journey is fraught with uncertainty, yet we remain hopeful for favorable conditions and the absence of unforeseen obstacles.
